Truffle season, my favourite time of year in Manjimup, a fantastic time for chefs and foodies, crisp cold mornings and cosy meals by the fire. The last 4 years I've taken time out of the kitchen to hunt for truffles for the season at Oak Valley Truffle Farm. It's perfect to unwind from the hustle and bustle in the kitchen.
My co-hunters are Jack and Tilly, previously Rex who has now retired, love the hunt and rewards as much as I do. Oak Valley Farm supplies the world's top restaurants with black truffles every year and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to use these truffles in my cooking.
Through the season we have a special limited truffle inspired picnic box available with truffle infused camembert, truffle butter and salt, macarons, crackers and a Truffle slicer and of course a fresh Manjimup truffle for
$150.
